ROBERT DIGGS

                             

Robert Diggs was born in Friars Point, MS. Diggs was born blind, and learned how to play harmonica at the age of six. He traveled throughout the South along with his sister who was also born blind and played harmonica. He seldom performed with a guitarist, seeming to prefer playing solo. At the time when George Mitchell recorded him in 1967, Diggs was 58 years old.
