Big John Carter: Big John is the iconic UK boogie woogie man. He has become a mainstay by providing seemingly endless supplies of first class Boogie Woogie. Between performing here at the UK festival and regularly at the UK Boogie Woogie Club, in support of the festival, he has, amongst others, performed in Hamburg with Axel Zwingenberger and Vince Weber.

This year Big John has teamed up James Goodwin and together they will be presenting The History of Boogie Woogie. So you can be sure of hearing some first rate boogie piano there!

Two pieces of music featured here : the first is a solo instrumental piece played in true Big John Carter Style.

The second song : "Great Big Eyes" also features Chris Davidson on Bass, Jon Neilson on Drums and Howard Meyrick on Saxophone.

This was taken at the informal Sunday Brunch Bash at the Royal British Legion. First up is Festival Favourite Big John Carter {UK} playing some great medium fast swing Boogie Woogie. Then Patrick Smet {Belgium} slows the pace down with some quality Blues piano playing.
