    ANDREW " BLUEWOOD " McMAHON estuvo durante bastante tiempo aprendiendo con Howlin' Wolf que lo llevó en su sus giras donde además tocaba el bajo, aunque básicamente cantante,  tocaba tambien la guitarra, es un artista poco conocido que grabó un albúm Go Get My Baby  según la PENGUIN GUIDE, aunque hemos encontrado otro que os mostramos, lo traemos aquí para darlo a conocer y que como músico y bluesman que fúe merece aunque sea una mención en nuestros diccionario gráfico. Como podréis ver se rodeó de muy buenos músicos , sin ir mas lejos en un mismo album , Homesick James guitarra en un tema, y en el otro, Jimmy Dawkins guitarra y Sunnyland Slim al piano.

Andrew "Blueblood" McMahon was born April 12, 1926 in Delhi, Louisiana on a small farm. On his seventh birthday he was given his first guitar, a $2.50 special from the local music store. With his $2.50 guitar strapped to his back, he ran away from his parents at the age of 11. Blueblood then wandered the country learning to play and sing the blues. Blueblood learned quickly and in his early years played with such top bluesmen as Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Elmo James, Little Walter, J.B. Hutto, and others.

After a few years of leading his own group, Blueblood joined the Howlin' Wolf Band in 1960, as bass player. Blueblood worked with the "Wolf" for over 13 years learning much from the great bluesman.

Blueblood has recorded extensively backing up many other top blues singers but this is the first album devoted entirely to Blueblood as the vocalist. ~ Perry Johnson (from the original album liner)
