The first idea to start a tribute band for Blondie in Barcelona came in the summer of 2013 after conversations between estonian singer Merili Varik and Barcelona based drummer Carles Domingo. In autumn same year Merili Varik moved to Barcelona and together with Carles Domingo settled the basis of the project. 

Later the other members of the band joined: David Sanchez Sanz- guitar, Ivan Navales- bass guitar and Aitor Sainz- keyboards. Song list, performance and rehearseals were settled. Photo album, promotional video and first inauguration show is about to come out in february. 

Merili Varik is combining her music career between Estonia (singer in “Sõpruse Puiestee” and “Merili Varik” solo project) and Barcelona (“Atomic”) and therefore planes and airports are common places to be! 

Carles Domingo is also combining his different projects, bands and studio work in Barcelona with "Atomic"

"Atomic" is one of the Blondies hit songs what was released as their third single from the band's platinum-selling 1979 album "Eat to the Beat" so what could be a better choice to name a Blondies tribute!!!
