    RICKY NYE , aquest pianista va estar tocant al X BLUES BOOGIE REUNION, celebrat a Terrassa  ( Bcn-Spain) ( Post. 25/05/14 ) el mes de Gener passat (4/01/14 ) . No era el primer cop, ja que ho va fer en diferents edicions anteriors.

Day 1, Saturday 4th : Ricky Nye {USA} doing a great version of "Down the Road Apiece" with Marc Ruiz {Drums} and Manolo German {Double Bass}. This is followed by - after an introduction by Festival Organiser Lluis Coloma - Axel Zwingenburger performing some Solo Piano.

Movie features Ricky Nye playing one of my favourite swing Boogie pieces : "Down the Road Apiece". 

I love the way Ricky does this song and wanted a close up "high-def" Movie Clip to really appreciate his playing, so the shot is static and framed tight - slight apogies to other members of the Band who you can hear but can't see.

Three great pianists and good friends Joerg Hegemann, Stefan Ulbricht {both from Germany} and Ricky Nye playing some fast Boogie Woogie on two Steinway Pianos on stage at the 2011 Essen Boogie Congress. 

Though generally playing some improvised pieces here for the spectatular Grand Finale, there's more than a hint of the popular 'Swanee River Booge' coming through in the closing atages of this Movie Clip.
