The Dirty Aces are due to hit Europe this year with their new album "From The Basement" on V2 Records Benelux. It showcases their hook laden and grimy, rocking sound. They fuse a mixture of blistering alt-rock to classic punk, garage rock and rock n roll influences. The Dirty Aces raw and visceral sound is being hailed as one of the most exciting new discoveries to break out of the blues world today. With an untamed squall that echoes Jack White, The Black Keys, The Strypes, The Stooges and some vintage Stones The band are primed to burst onto the main stages of the Europe this year and beyond with their explosive live performances that have earned them fans across the UK.

Lead Quotes

"The same power, energy and angst of punk and the strut and swagger of Iggy and his Stooges, and Joey, Dee Dee and co". Simon Redley, Blues & Soul Magazine.

"They are the type of band that provokes extreme behaviour of one sort or another, the group’s music a full-on and raucous blues racket, loud, in-your-face party music for the 21st century". 8/10 Popmatters

"Mould breaking garage-blues par excellence" 9/10 Classic Rock Blues Magazine

The Colne Blues Harp Explosion presented by Giles Robson, Blues Matters Harmonica Player Of The Year, with The Sugar Blue Band, live at The Great British R&B Festival 2013, part 2.

Let me first start by saying

A Big Shout out to Giles, Great to finally meet him at long last. Giles put on a fantastic show bringing in American Harmonica Legends Sugar Blue, Billy Branch, and Charlie Musselwhite. What I witnessed was one of the very best displays of harmonica to hit these shores in years. Congratulations on putting this altogether. This is just whats missing here in the UK. Yes this country has its share of Great Harmonica Players, but this was a rare occasion to see Greats from across the pond. Lets hope that this is not the last time. And fingers and toes firmly crossed The Colne Blues Harp Explosion ! returns another year.

Giles Robson "Proud as punch to have been asked to program and present the Saturday night at this year's Great RnB Festival, Colne Lancashire! The "Colne Blues Harp Explosion!" will present three blues harmonica giants together on stage in a "Never Before Seen" lineup! Charlie Musselwhite, Sugar Blue and Billy Branch. It's going to be a killer night and an historic one too! Looking forward to sharing a stage with some much respected heroes!" http://worldofharmonica.blogspot.co.u...
