BOYD GILMORE

BOYD GILMORE nació un 12 de junio de 1910, en Belzoni, Mississippi, EE.UU., vivió hasta el 23 de diciembre de 1976,  que nos dejaría en Fresno, California, EE.UU. Un buen guitarrista, aunque no grabó como tal,  cantante exuberante, Gilmore registró  para Modern en 1952 con Ike Turner en el piano y James Scott Jnr. a la guitarra  . Al año siguiente, Gilmore grabó para Sun Records, respaldado por la banda de Earl Hooker, pero los resultados no fueron publicados hasta más tarde. There are no existing photos of Boyd Gilmore. He was born in Belzoni, MS. c. June 12, 1910., and was a cousin of Elmore James. Boyd was recorded in two sessions in Greenville and Clarksdale, MS. in 1952. Two 78 RPM records were issued from the Greenville sessions. The remaining titles were shelved until being released by Kent Records in the 1960's. His complete discography exists of only six songs. Boyd Gilmore passed away in Fresno, CA. on December 23, 1976.
