SLEEPY ROOSTERS
SLEEPY ROOSTERS es una banda que se forma en 2013 por la unión de tres apasionados del Blues de Chicago y que se ha curtido y rodado en el circuito madrileño de Blues desde entonces, habiendo tocado en los mejores clubs madrileños como La Coquette Blues Bar, Sala Clamores, El Intruso, El Junco, Sociedad de Blues de Madrid, Sala Moe, Big Mama Swing etc.
Ha participado en diversos Festivales como en el Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Maratón, Albatros Blues Festival, el Espanish blues festival (ESBF) y ha sido elegida para tocar en el festival de baile Atlantic Blues en Oporto en 2016 y 2017.
Sleepy Roosters se nutre y busca el sonido del Blues Afroamericano de los años 50 y 60 y su repertorio está formado por temas clásicos, que van desde el blues más crudo de John Lee Hooker, R.L Burnside y Muddy Waters hasta el blues eléctrico de Jimmy Rogers, Little Walter, Howlin Wolf, Elmore James, Junior Wells y Buddy Guy.
La Banda grabó su primer EP en Junio del 2013 en la discográfica Habitacion 101 y este mes de Marzo de 2017 presenta su primer disco "Chicago Roosters" también bajo el mismo sello, propiedad de Antonio Mellado, que es a su vez el armonicista de Sleepy Roosters.
"Chicago Roosters" es un disco que grabamos en una única sesión, junto a los "Strats" en la sección rítmica (Ricky Ávila y Adrián Carrera) tocando en directo a la manera que se hacía en los años 50, en homenaje a alguno de los grandes Artistas de aquella época y al espíritu de aquellas grabaciones.
A pesar de que la grabación se hizo a finales de 2015 distintos motivos han hecho que no vea la luz hasta ahora, cuando hemos podido darle el toque final y preparar su presentación en condiciones.
"Chicago Roosters", nuestro primer trabajo discográfico, consta de 10 temas y sirve como presentación de la Banda tras 3 años tocando juntos, y es a la vez un punto de partida desde el que seguir buscando nuestro sonido.
SERGIO "BROWN SUGAR" FERNANDEZ
Nacido en Madrid se forma desde el año 2000 en diferentes escuelas de canto de la capital como Pentagrama, Esmuva o la escuela de Musica Creativa. Da sus primeros pasos en la música en 2010 simultaneando durante 2 años el grupo "GTB" con el coro de Gospel "GospelPeopleSpain" de la EMC. En 2011 busca un proyecto enfocado únicamente en música afroamericana y forma parte de la banda de blues Muddy Train donde buscan rescatar el sonido del blues de los años 50 y 60. Actualmente es cantante de Sleepy Roosters y forma parte de los All4gospel Choir, uno de los mejores coros de Gospel de España.
Apasionado del Soul, R&B, Jazz y Blues escribe el Blog "Letsgetiton11" donde vemos que sus influencias pasan por Artistas de todos esos géneros, desde Otis Redding y Al Green a D’Angelo, pasando por Joe Williams o Johnny Hartman hasta llegar a Howlin Wolf, Jimmy Witherspoon o Muddy Waters.
IÑAKI MORENO
Guitarrista madrileño, ha tocado en numerosas bandas de blues. Empezó tocando en Madrid en 1997 con Round Robind y la conocida Tonky blues Band. Más tarde, en Málaga, forma parte de numerosas bandas de blues como Nightrain, Blues Experience y Stormy Monday. Durante este período actúa en el Marbella Blues Festival 2006 acompañando al cantante Apple Jack y Parker Frost de San Francisco y en el Benalmádena Blues Festival 2007 con su propia banda Stormy Monday. En agosto del 2007 participa de nuevo en la Segunda Edición del Marbella Blues Festival tocando en la banda del veterano guitarrista granadino Joaquín Sánchez.
En el 2008 decide trasladarse a Dublin (Irlanda) donde se introduce en el ambiente blusero de la ciudad a través del Iris Blues Club que celebra sus noches de Blues en el popular y legendario JJ SMITH. Toca en distintas bandas como Parchman Farm, Salvo Blues Band, Rumboogies, Rollin & Tumbling y Hollywood Slim, y en mayo de ese mismo año, toca en el Dublin City Soul Festival.
De vuelta en Madrid, ha tocado en bandas como Jet Black, Muddy Train, My Sweet Mule y ahora con su actual proyecto Sleepy Roosters.
NONO MELLADO
Nono mellado "Nono que Tono" aficionado a la armónica desde el instituto conoce a Joaquin Sánchez "La Abuela" en 2001 a Manolo "El loco de la carolina" (gran maestro de la armónica) Jose Granados y Javier Rodriguez. En 2002 forma junto con Sergio Novo, Nacho Mena "HotNasho" y Julian Bourne la Banda Flying Donkey y participa en numerosos conciertos con Fernando Beiztegui Blues Band y Joaquin Sánchez.
En 2009 se junta con Antonio Trave "El Oso de Benalúa" y nace dueto acústico Oso&Nonoy con colaboraciones de Fernando Beiztegui, HotNasho, Javier Rodriguez... Siempre presente en las Jams y en conciertos como artistica invitado, influenciado por Little Wlter, Junior Wells, James Cotton, Walter Horton, Sonny Boy Williamson... regresa a Madrid para unirse a "Sleepy Roosters".

Nono Mellado “Nono que tono” is a Harp enthusiast from institute. Met Joaquín Sánchez “la abuela”, Manolo “el loco de la Carolina” (Harp master), José Granados and Javier Rodriguez in 2001.
In 2002 played in the “Flying Donkey” band with Sergio Novo, Nacho Mena "HotNasho" y Julian Bourne and played in several concerts with Fernando Beiztegui Blues Band and Joaquín Sánchez.
In 2007 played with “Red Cotton” acoustic blues covering Howlin Wolf or Muddy Waters...
In 2009 team up with Antonio Trave “El Oso de Benalúa” and formed tha acoustic duo Oso&Nono with collaboration from Fernando Beiztegui, Hot Nasho, Javier Rodriguez...
