MR. SIPP AT SALA RAZZMATAZZ 3 - BARCELONA -

Los espítirus de Albert  King, B.B.King, Steve Ray Vaughan , Buddy Guy, y Jimi Hendrix , entre otros estuvieron presentes en la noche de ayer en la sala3 de RAZZMATAZZ, CASTRO COLEMAN, a.k.a. MR. SIPP, se encargó de mantener el legado de todos estos artistas y muchos más que sin duda han influenciado en la manera de tocar de Mr.Sipp. Un guitarrista, teclista ( sorprendió al publico con su intro ) y cantante muy efectista , que ataca sin concesiones , a fondo  y muestra al público ( enfervorizado) todas las fuentes que ha sido capaz de beber sin ruborizarse un pelo por ello  ( y bien hecho que hace ! )  , muestra orgulloso una potente puesta en escena y demuestra unas tablas al alcance de pocos. Blues, Blues, lo que se dice Blues , del clásico me refiero, poca cosa., está claro que a puristas como el que les habla cierta deriva no acaba de hacerle el peso, sin dejar de reconocer sus extraordinarias virtudes como teclista, guitarrista y showman que las tiene sin dudar ni medio segundo , el personal así lo reconoció y se regodeó con las capacidades escénicas de Mr. Sipp., como no podía ser de otra manera bajó del escenario para mezclarse con la gente se paseó con su guitarra , ( esta vez síi ! ) con un Slow Blues de los que hacen época , lo alargó hasta que tuvo bastante ,jaleado en todos sus pasos y compartiendo lo que fué una gran noche de espectáculo. Os ponemos unas fotillas y unos videos , como siempre decimos manifiestamente mejorables., peró es que en realidad , lo sabéis......,  lo que se pretende desde SENTIR EL BLUES., es ser como una especie de aprendiz (torpe),  de notario , que dá fé de cuanto es capaz de ver  de  lo todo y bueno que acontece cada día en la escena barcelonesa , sin duda de grandísimo nivel mundial , lo decimos con todas las palabras, lo confirman los músicos que nos visitan y a nosotros que nos gusta presumir de ello. Veréis al final un video desde fuera del local, lo ponemos como curiosidad , como divertimento, y es que después de haber bisado , haber sacado sus fotos y sus videos los propios músicos del escenario, y compartir su felicidad...., no contentos con haberlo dado todo regalaron otro bis .

Castro Coleman (born August 25, 1976) is the 2014 International Blues Challenge winner, American blues singer, musician, songwriter and guitarist.

Castro started out playing the gospel with The Legendary Williams Brothers, The Canton Spirituals and The Pilgrim Jubilees. He later started his own group The True Believers which launched them in the gospel industry with their album In This Place. After The True Believers Castro started Castro Coleman and Highly Favored which again proved successful in the gospel industry, with television appearances on Bobby Jones Gospel. Their album Time Out gained national attention.

Biography

Castro was born in the small town of McComb, Mississippi to Jonell and the late Vera Coleman. He is a husband and father of four daughters. He has been around music all of his life. His parents and aunt had a quartet group. He was influenced by B B King at the age of 6 which is when he started playing the guitar. Currently Castro is touring all over the world with his Knock a Hole in It Tour. They have visited Hong Kong, Brazil, Denmark, Spain Switzerland, Belgium, and The Netherlands.

Castro is endorsed by Epiphone, Ernie Ball Strings, Nord and Humes and Berg. He was cast in Get on Up as the first guitar player for Mr. Brown playing the role of Les Buie.

In 2012 Castro decided that he wanted to venture over into the blues genre. He competed in the regional competition in the fall of 2012 and won. He then went to compete in Memphis in January 2013 where made it to the finals. He went back and won the regional competition in the fall of 2013 won again and back to Memphis in 2014.

Castro has won many awards in the gospel industry and has over 125 credits listed on Allmusic. In 2014, Castro was given the Bobby Rush Entertainer of the Year Award by the Jus' Blues Foundation. In 2015, he won several Jackson Music Awards including International Male Blues Artist, Blues Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the year.

Castro is on the roster of the Mississippi Arts Commission. He conducts programs in the area schools teaching the young and old about the blues. His latest album The Mississppi Blues Child on the Malaco Records Label debuted #6 on the Living Blues Charts and made the Top 50 for the 2015 year. He has been nominated for a Blues Music Award in the category of New Artist Album Debut.
