Classically trained with gospel roots, Jamie Scarlett Inman began singing in N.C. churches as a child. She studied music and voice at Southeastern University and, when not performing with Jamie & Royce, fronts several bands around Tampa singing southern rock, country & blues.
Texas honky-tonks and Oklahoma blues bars were Royce Reed’s schools of boogie-woogie and shuffles, western swing, and southern rock. Starting piano at 5, to jazz lessons with Jac Murphy at 12, he was gigging by 15 in Dallas blues bars and honky-tonks. For 50 years he’s played the piano blues, swing, rockabilly, & soul music of the South.
Jamie & Royce perform as either a duo, or with a backing band according to the requirements of the event and//or venue.
