THE GREAT TOAD AT PIPA CLUB * BARCELONA *

About :
No us ho perdeu!
Influences
Assylum Street Spankers, Louis Amstrong, Elvis Presley, Harry Belafonte, Bobby McFerrin, The Beatles, The Bee gees, Metallica, Ramones, The Simpsons, Sam Cooke, Michael Jackson...etc,etc,etc

About:
They began to talk about blues, swing, rock'n'roll, dixie and American music in the 30's, 40's and 50's in general. They noticed that, although coming from different basins, they spoke the same language. In this way a group was formed, which is more than one group. The Great Toad is a band that really enjoys playing, both classic American music or European swing as irreverent versions of pop songs from the second half of the 20th century. In his repertoire we can find classics such as I'm just a gigolo or It does not mean a thing, or hillbilly and swing versions of songs by Queen, Beatles, Bee Gees, Gloria Gaynor, Gary Moore or Michael Jackson.
Another distinctive feature of these amphibians is their "acusticism" militancy. That is, we are talking about one of the few groups that may continue to play when the light comes off.
Guitars, banjos, box, dobro, bass, washboard and ukelele; They seem to have many instruments for only five musicians, but one of the distinguishing features of The Great Toad is 'multi-instrumentalism'.
All five sing and, they will seduce you with harmonies that go from the Platters to the Panchos. A concert by The Great Toad is an experience to listen, drink, smell, feel, enjoy and laugh.
Do not miss it!
