  "South Louisiana Style Blues" 
Ed Wills, a self-taught and extremely talented "bluesman" was born in 1958 and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, famously known as the "Big Easy" around the world, and has lived in the "Uptown" area for many years. His love for music was set in motion at the young age of eight years old. In addition to, his earliest influence began with his Aunt Cora who lived in a small town called Tchula in the Mississippi delta and played an instrument called the slide guitar. 

He was discovered by Wilson Victorian of the Bayou Renegades in 1986 where he played rhythm guitar in an idiosyncrasy only unique to New Orleans' style of music, soul music, sang backup vocals and toured all across the state. Later, influenced by the renowned Leo Nocentelli, lead guitarist, composer, innovator originator of that unique, syncopated funky New Orleans style made famous by The Meters. His style of playing was also heavily influenced by the incredibly talented Guitar Slim, Jr., Lawrence Taylor, guitarist Darryl Johnson of the famous, Ritchie Havens who is known for being the man who opened Woodstock; and the legendary jazz guitarists Wes Montgomery and blues legends Albert Collins and B.B. King.
