THE JOE T. COOK BLUES BAND

The Joe T. Cook Blues Band is one of the premier blues bands touring the west coast. The members are all award winning blues professionals with more than 30 years experience as gigging blues musicians. The band performs high energy traditional Chicago and west coast style blues, with elements of the old school Texas sound.

JOE T. COOK is a multiple Twin Cities Music Awards winner for his blazing blues harmonica, original songwriting and vocals.

Joe is one of the true legends of the Minneapolis blues scene, having honed his craft with his award winning band the Longshots back in the 1990's. The rich, vibrant blues scene in Minneapolis that spawned the legendary Union Bar and the great bands and musicians of the Midwest was fertile ground for Joe and his band of stellar musicians.

Joe writes and sings the band's original blues material and nails the humor and wry commentary of the best of the blues.

TIM "STOOP DOWN" SHERMAN is a blues guitarist nonpareil, a three time B.B. Award winner for Best Electric Guitar and WBS Hall of Fame member for his work with legendary NW band Stevie and the Blue Flames. Tim has performed with or been a member of just about every blues band of note in the Northwest since 1983. He is a true Master of the Stratocaster as well as that big red Gibson ES-355 guitar. His style combines old school Lonnie Johnson, T-Bone Walker, B.B. King and Pee Wee Crayton with west coast revival. Tim is also a disciple of the old school Texas sound of the great Anson Funderburgh and the fabulous Ronnie Earl.

CONRAD "EL MACHETE" ORMSBY is considered one of the best blues drummers on the west coast, and his talents are constantly in demand. He has performed with countless NW blues greats over the past 30 years and is a founding member of the famed "Ballard Shoals" rhythm section. His name strikes fear in the hearts of pretenders to the throne of blues drumming, and is the backbone of the Joe Cook Blues Band groove.
