VIRGIL PERKINS
African-American kazoo and washboard player. He first recorded in 1941 as a member of Washboard Trio (Mobile Washboard Band).
Blues group, who was recorded by the Library of Congress in Selma, Alabama, in 1941.
"Those present on both titles include George Scott, Sidney Dawson, and Virgil Perkin, instruments unknown. [...] Virgin Perkin recorded again after 1943 (as Virgil Perkins, which is probably his real name) [...]" (Blues and gospel records 1890-1943 (1997), p. 988)
