DETROIT BLUES BAND
About
The Detroit Blues Band has been a staple on the Detroit music scene since the mid 1970's. Although there were many variations of the band, only Emmanuel X. Garza and Tommy (T-Bone) Wagner have both been with the band from the start. When the band ended it's run in 1999, Emmanuel went on to form the MC Sheiks and Tommy went on to play with Stone Soup.
In the late 2000's The Detroit Blues Band reformed with Jim McCarty - Guitar and Vocals, Emmanuel X. Garza, - Guitar and Vocals, Marvin Conrad on Bass, Tommy (T-Bone) Wagner on Drums and Rick Stel on Keys until Ricks untimely death in 2014. The Detroit Blues Band plays occasionally around town, most notably is the tradition of playing at the Blue Goose Inn every New Years Eve.
