"The Duchess” Jureesa McBride Born February 1982, in Port Gibson/Pattison, Mississippi area is one of the sexiest, sassy, classy, soulful artist befitting the name “The Duchess”. “The Duchess” Jureesa, as many call her, is a small town country girl with big dreams, big heart, full of talent, strong ambitions, drive, and blessed with an unbelievable soulful voice. She becomes royalty with a microphone in her hand, an innocent smile and a voice of pure soul.

Jureesa has always been inspired by music as long as she can remember. The art of music always played a major impact in her life. She grew up listening mainly to Blues, R&B, Gospel, and Soul music in her home and always on the eight tracks while her dad fumbled around under the hood of his old car. “The Duchess” Jureesa began around 9 years old writing poetry, singing her own penned songs and acting in Peanut Butter Jelly Theater, (a children’s theatrical company) throughout Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee. These adventures allowed her, at a young age, the opportunity to sing, write poetry and act; while promoting reading among young disadvantaged youth. “The Duchess” Jureesa continues to push her interest and skills in drawing, writing poetry, spoken word and photography.

“The Duchess” Jureesa is a lady that is proud to be called pure ROYALTY. A prolific writer, she showcases her phenomenal talent on second newly released EP entitled, ​“Personal Love Vendetta” ​with great hit songs like , “Personal Love Vendetta”, “Karma (she will take care of you)” and more. “The Duchess Jureesa comes with a voice that is mesmerizing, powerful, flexible and soulful . The Duchess stage presentation is captivating, energetic, and demands the audience's full attention. "The Duchess” Jureesa repertoire brings real life stories alive through music. containing a very bluesy and soulful sounds from previously EP entitled,” I’m a Woman First, (tales of The Duchess)” and newly released EP entitled,” Personal Love Vendetta”. The Duchess” Jureesa McBride featuring The Dukes; one of the country’s BEST backing band or acapella, her delivery, emotion and interpretation is superb.
