Made of Mana’s new single “Sinner” comes close on the heels of their debut single “Sorry,” which was released just this January. The two songs form a one-two punch combination examining former relationships through two different lenses. “Unlike ‘Sorry,’ ‘Sinner’ is a fiercely unapologetic blues song that acknowledges that everyone will cause harm to others at some point in our lives. As painful as it can be to examine our own actions, seeing ourselves as we really are is the first step on the path to true self knowledge.” “Sinner” is a modern take on classic blues rock with a blistering guitar solo running right through its middle. Made of Mana will release a new single every month this year leading into the summer.
These four friends have been making music together since they were young teens, and it shows. They cut their teeth early, and were soon playing large venues with high-profile artists. They continued to hone their skills over the years through extensive touring and live performances in other projects – these are accomplished musicians.
The music has now called them back together. Their new project, Made of Mana, is a modern rock band out of the San Francisco Bay Area that has been strongly influenced by the California coast they call home. They are here to share the pure love and expressive power of music, removed from the glitz and glamor that typifies the music industry today. This is aspirational music, yearning for each of us to become the best versions of ourselves, but with our expectations tempered by the hard lessons learned through living life. Their songwriting includes strains of blues-rock guitar à la Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer, paired with soulful vocals sharing stories of longing, loss, and growth. Their sound of sweet melodies supported by catchy, danceable beats is a unique re-packaging of classic genres that will satisfy the auditory palates of all music fans.
