MACK RHINEHART & BROWNIE STUBBLEFIELD
Mack Rhinehart & Brownie Stubblefield were a blues duo from Alabama. It wasn't like they were underrecorded but rather mostly ill-regarded.They spent two days in a Chicago recording studio in 1936 laying down twenty titles but only four records came from the session. A few months later they were back in a studio, this time in Birmingham, Alabama. Another day was spent on eight songs, with four of those put on the shelf. The next day Rhinehart recorded with a group dubbed "Midnight Ramblers" sans Stubblefield. Six songs were cut, but none were issued and neither Rhinehart or Stubblefield recorded again. The song here should have been titled T.P. & Moaner. They were two separate railways, Texas & Pacific and Moaner The Monon that ran between New Orleans & Houston, the latter being acquired later by Southern Pacific.
