Edgar Turner was a guitarist who belonged to a circle of musicians in North Little Rock, AR. that also included Elmon "Driftin' Slim/Smith" Mickle and Sunny Blair. In 1952 Ike Turner recorded all three of them and recordings were issued by them individually. Ike provided additional backup on these recordings, and it is not believed that he was related to Edgar. Edgar's recordings were issued under his nickname of "Baby Face". Five were made in all with two being issued on a Modern 78 at the time, while the other three sat around until being released on Kent & Nighthawk LP compilations some time later.
