The Bear Root Sheiks

Roots music from two outstanding fingerstyle guitarists

Two delicate instrumentalists, each in their own way, play and sing together in a stylish atmosphere.
The current program is peppered with interpretations of classics from the country blues era of the 20s and 30s, alternating with bluesy original compositions, sometimes in dialect, which these two artists perform together.

Inspired by a few friends, Äl has been a passionate lover of playing old acoustic guitars in ragtime picking and country blues for some time, which is the focus of this project and was a driving force behind its initiation. With Rainer Brunn, Äl was able to win over a master of this style for this joint project.

In 40 years of stage presence, Rainer Brunn has developed a powerful, groovy guitar style and knows how to inspire audiences and the press again and again with his expressive voice. In recent years he has established himself internationally as a renowned blues musician with thousands of followers on YouTube and Facebook.

Thanks to Äl's decades of experience in various blues styles, he knows how to captivate audiences with powerful slide guitar pieces, delicate ragtime picking or solemn blues ballads like very few other blues musicians.
Äl has also made a name for himself as a songwriter over the years. His dialect pieces in particular, but also some of his instrumental pieces, are played again and again, even by some popular radio stations.

Especially in our times of short-lived fashion trends, this program seems authentically honest and transports the listener to a world that was perhaps full of hardship but without hecticness, perhaps full of worries but without computer viruses - and crashes, a world in which people still had time to meet each other.

Let yourself be surprised and seduced into the world of the sweet sounds of these two outstanding artists, authentic and individual.
