Como bien explica el periodista y escritor Mariano Muniesa en su último libro " Eso no estaba en mi libro de HISTORIA DEL BLUES . ( https://sentirelblues.blogspot.com/2025/06/eso-no-estaba-en-mi-libro-de-la.html ) en su referencia a los artistas británicos que se tomaron la licencia de " plagiar" a los Bluesmen clásicos , ( En SENTIR EL BLUES TIME! nos hemos referido a este tema en numerosas ocasiones .) es público y notorio , entre muchos ejemplos que el escritos describe en su capítulo El mensaje del Blues a través del tiempo, .... en donde se refiere a los múltiples músicos ingleses que tomaron canciones ya escritas para , o bien copiarlas , sin más, o bien ha crear sus propias versiones que en muchas ocasiones rayaban la copia más descarada, simplemente se limitaban a cambiar la letra y zas , a poner su firma como autores ( Led Zeppelin son un ejemplo palpable..) El caso que nos ocupa y al cual se refiere el escritor en el libro referenciado es el tema LOVE UNTIL I DIE, que firmó , sin pudor alguno ALVIN LEE, guitarra y fundador de TEN YEARS AFTER, allá por el año 1967 , una versión descarada de Crossroads de Robert Johnson a caballo entre la propia del autor y la que hicieran mas tarde CREAM. os ponemos las dos para que podáis apreciar cuanto os decimos.
Ten Years After is the debut album by English blues rock band Ten Years After. Recorded at Decca Studios in London in September 1967, and released on 27 October 1967.
This album has less original material than the band's later works, most of which were composed entirely of Alvin Lee's songs. It features "Spoonful", a song written by Willie Dixon and recorded by Howlin' Wolf, which the British blues rock group Cream had covered the previous year on their debut album Fresh Cream, with an extended live version on their third album, Wheels of Fire (1968).
The band's cover of "I Can't Keep from Crying Sometimes" is based on Al Kooper's arrangement from the Blues Project's album Projections.
