BILLY PRICE * RANDOM MADNESS * Feat. BILLY PRICE BAND
On May 1, 2026, GetHip Recordings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will release Random Madness. The new album, produced by Grammy award-winning producer and drummer Tony Braunagel, contains 11 new songs that I co-wrote, mostly with Billy Price Band keyboard player Jim Britton. Tony Braunagel produced my most recent album in 2024, Person of Interest, which was nominated by the Blues Foundation for four 2025 Blues Music Awards including Album of the Year.
The BP Band and I recorded Random Madness at The Vault recording studio in Pittsburgh. Tony played drums on several of the tracks, and guests include Steve Delach on guitar, acclaimed jazz trombonist Reggie Watkins, and the gospel-inflected BGVs, AKA Background Vocals. The title song, “Random Madness,” features a guest appearance by trumpet great Sean Jones, currently the chair of the jazz studies department of the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
